Game Developers Demand Transparency: Unity’s Pricing Shift Sparks Outrage

Nikita Guk, CEO of PR firm GIMZ and organizer of the open letter, argues that Unity’s new regulations will disproportionately affect projects that don’t generate enough income per user. Guk emphasizes the need to consider each project’s unique circumstances and demands more transparency and accountability from Unity.

On the other hand, Unity claims that only about 10 percent of its user base will be impacted by the pricing changes. However, this claim does little to alleviate the frustration and anxiety among developers. Despite Unity reinstating Improbable’s license and promising to keep users informed of future terms of service changes, many developers remain skeptical.
